Overview
Muktinath Darshan Tour (मुक्तिनाथ दर्शन यात्रा) is respected as most sacred pilgrimage tour in Nepal. Among hundreds of holy sites in Nepal, Muktinath Temple has highest honor on the heart of Hindus around the world. Muktinath Temple is equally respected by both Hindu & Buddhist. You will find Hindu priest as well as Buddhist Nun in the temple so the people from both faith pay a visit to this sacred place. Dedicated to Lord Bishnu and located on the high Mountainous region at 3,800 meters above the sea level in Mustang district, the holy region also called as “Mukti Kshetra” ‘मुक्ति क्षेत्र’ or ‘abode of Salvation’ by Hindu. Surrounded by awesome snow capped Himalaya, the Temple also covered by fresh snow during the winter season.
You can enjoy great natural scenery as well as pay your greatest respect to the holy site. 108 sacred icy cold water spouts make a half circle the main Temple, where devotees take a holy bath before worshiping the god of Salvation. There are also two holy ponds on the premises of temple. Surprisingly, you can see a blue flame lighting-up underground since centuries. Location, name & fame of this holy site attracts thousands of devotees and visitors each year.
Reaching to the Muktinath Temple was really tough in the past. However, it’s not a big issue now a days. There are different means of access to the region. You can choose overland off road drive or by regular flight from Pokhara to Jomsom or hire a Helicopter to get there. However, reaching there is still not too easy as many expected. Even though, road transportation has linked to the area, drive over the dirt windy road might be tough for many. After breakfast drive to Pokhara along the windy highway overlooking the wonderful River valley, rural faces of Nepal. Arrival Pokhara, check in & strolling around the vibrant Pokhara Bazaar & Fewa Lake; O/N hotel in Pokhara
Early morning, we take a short 25-minute flight to Jomsom. At Jomsom on a clear day, we are greeted with some breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna (8091m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m) & several others high Himalaya. After breakfast, we take a jeep ride on SIC to Muktinath, our destination. On the way to the temple, we come across Buddhist monasteries, gorge of sacred Kali Gandaki river, and a rugged natural landscape. When we arrive at MUKTINATH TEMPLE, we will have a chance to see and feel the reverence of this tour. Following our worship and other rituals at the temple & fulfill the lifetime dream to be on the lap of Gods of salvation. Later we retrace our way back to our address in Jomsom; O/N at Guest house
Early morning take the thrilling flight & back to Pokhara. Upon arrival check in to hotel & later visit Davis falls, Refugee camp & Gupteswor cave & boating on Fewa Lake; O/N hotel in Pokhara
Breakfast at hotel & drive back to Kathmandu with same great experience. Arriving at Kathmandu, visit Swyambhunath Temple on the way. Later transfer to hotel, O/N hotel in Kathmandu

I have taken Chitwan Wildlife Safari as a family vacation with my two little girls & hubby in early October. The time is perfect to visit this famous National park probably the best animal sighting safari in south Asia. The day we arrive Chitwan is bit late and couldn’t do much. However, our wildlife excursion begins early morning following day as we ride giant Elephant and explore the deep Jungle. My girls are really curious to encounter with Rhinoceros as they always talks about it’s horn (nose) rise above the mouth & bending skins. They wish to see it live.
Luckily, we saw a mother & baby taking sunbath on the bush within 15 minutes ride inside National Park. As we proceed, saw several species of Deer, sloth Bear, Peacock, Mars crocodile, reptiles, birds & many more during our 3 our trip. Later, we have another experience while crossing the Rapti River on a small Canoe where two Crocodile was just a meters away, but they looks calm & relaxed. We ended up the day by observing Tharu Cultural show where they usually perform with sticks & fire. Final day we have Jeep Safari deep into the National park with more animal sights, beautiful Lakes and of course dense forest & exotic plants.
All in all this is perfect family vacation for us. This trip is choice of my bigger girls & hope they enjoy the vacation & learn much about the wildlife & mother nature… Thanks Himalaya Trekking for organizing the fabulous trip to us… Cheers !
